  • 1 package mandarin orange Jello
  • 1 cup cottage cheese Use fresh or well-drained.
  • 1 cup crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 cup Cool Whip Ensure it's softened before mixing.

Optional Topping

  • to taste chopped nuts Add before serving for crunch.

Preparation

  • Boil water as directed on the Jello package, remove from heat, and mix in Jello powder until fully dissolved.
  • Allow the Jello mixture to cool for about 10 to 15 minutes.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together cottage cheese, crushed pineapple, and Cool Whip until blended.
  • Gently fold the cooled Jello into the cottage cheese mixture.
  • Transfer to a serving dish and refrigerate for at least two hours or until set.
  • Before serving, sprinkle chopped nuts on top if desired.
