Wet Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsweetened applesauce Replaces traditional butter.
  • ¼ cup coconut oil, melted Adds moistness and flavor.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup granulated sweetener of choice Helps keep calories low.

Mix-Ins

  • 1 cup chocolate chips of choice

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • Lay a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mixing Dry Ingredients

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the white whole wheat flour, cornstarch, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Stir until well incorporated.

Mixing Wet Ingredients

  • In another bowl, whisk together the granulated sweetener, unsweetened applesauce, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract until blended.

Combining Mixtures

  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir gently until no dry flour remains.
  • Carefully fold in the chocolate chips.

Shaping and Baking

  • Measure out the cookie dough and form 16 balls. Space them evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until lightly golden at the edges.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
