Main Ingredients

  • 1 packet Lipton onion soup mix
  • 1 pound ground beef Lean ground beef is ideal.
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Use gluten-free breadcrumbs if needed.
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup ketchup Plus extra for topping.
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Chopped parsley for garnish Optional

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, Lipton onion soup mix, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, 1/4 cup ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
  • Mix all the ingredients together until well combined, using your hands or a spoon.
  • Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased baking dish or a loaf pan.
  • Spread a thin layer of ketchup on top of the meatloaf.

Cooking

  • Bake for 1 hour or until the meatloaf is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
  • Once done, remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it sit for about 10 minutes before slicing.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley, if desired, and serve.

Notes

For extra flavor, try incorporating finely chopped vegetables into the meat mixture or different toppings such as BBQ sauce or sweet chili sauce.
