  • 4 chicken breasts boneless, skinless
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth low sodium preferred
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook for 6–7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add lemon juice, zest, honey, and chicken broth. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  • Return the chicken to the pan and spoon the sauce over it. Simmer for 2 more minutes to let flavors meld. Garnish with parsley and lemon slices before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in lemon juice and olive oil for 30 minutes before cooking. This recipe also works great with chicken thighs.
