Ingredients
  

Meats

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound Italian sausage

Noodles

  • 8 ounces lasagna noodles Broken into smaller pieces

Sauce and Broth

  • 4 cups marinara sauce
  • 4 cups beef broth

Dairy

  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated For garnish

Herbs

  • 1 cup fresh basil, chopped For garnish and flavor

Seasoning

  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions
 

Preparation and Cooking

  • Set your Instant Pot to the sauté mode.
  • Add the ground beef and Italian sausage into the pot. Cook until browned and the fat has rendered.
  • Break the lasagna noodles into smaller pieces and add them to the pot.
  • Add marinara sauce and beef broth, stirring to combine and coat the noodles.
  • Close the lid of your Instant Pot, set it to manual mode, and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Once done, do a quick release and carefully open the lid.
  • Stir in the ricotta cheese until well incorporated and season with salt and pepper.
  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

For a different flavor, consider using different meats, adding vegetables like spinach, or using cream cheese for a creamier texture. Allow the soup to rest a few minutes before serving for flavors to meld.
