Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef Use high-quality ground beef for better flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes Adjust to taste.

Vegetables and Garnish

  • 2 cups cooked rice White, brown, or jasmine rice works well.
  • 1 cup carrots, shredded
  • 1 cup bell pepper, diced
  • 1 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds For garnish.

Instructions
 

Cooking

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add sesame oil.
  • Once the oil is hot, add minced garlic and grated ginger. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until fully browned (about 5-7 minutes).
  • Drain excess grease if necessary, and return the skillet to medium heat.
  • Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Mix well to combine.
  • Add the shredded carrots and diced bell pepper to the skillet. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, until the vegetables are tender.
  • Remove the skillet from heat and stir in chopped green onions.

Serving

  • Serve the Korean ground beef over cooked rice, and sprinkle sesame seeds on top for garnish.
