  • 14.5 oz canned diced tomatoes One can.
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion Onion adds sweetness and depth.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic for a stronger flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder Adjust based on heat preference.
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth Adds moisture and flavor.

Toppings (optional)

  • shredded cheese For extra flavor and richness.
  • chopped green onions Adds freshness.
  • sour cream Adds creaminess.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large pot or slow cooker, brown the ground beef over medium heat, draining any excess fat.
  • Add the chopped onions and minced garlic, sauté until softened.
  • Stir in the diced tomatoes and beef broth.

Cooking

  • Add chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper; mix well.
  • For stove method, bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for 20 minutes. For slow cooker, set to low for 4-6 hours.
  • Serve hot in bowls and add toppings as desired.
