Ingredients
  

For the Turkey Burgers

  • 1 pound ground turkey Use turkey with some fat for moisture.
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs Helps bind the patty.
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg Bind the ingredients.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper Adjust to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs Optional.

For Serving

  • buns Burger buns Toast lightly before serving.
  • leaves Lettuce leaves For crunch.
  • slices Sliced tomatoes For freshness.
  • slices Sliced onions Optional addition.
  • Pickles Optional.
  • Condiments Mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, etc.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, onion powder, salt, pepper, and Italian herbs if using.
  • Mix the ingredients together until just combined. Be careful not to overwork the meat to maintain juiciness.
  • Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 1-inch thick.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 360°F (180°C) for about 5 minutes.

Cooking

  • Place the patties in the air fryer basket in a single layer. If necessary, cook in batches to avoid overcrowding.
  • Cook the patties for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  • Once cooked, let the patties rest for a few minutes before serving.

Serving

  • Toast the burger buns in the air fryer for a minute or two until golden brown.
  • Spread your choice of condiments on the bottom bun.
  • Place the juicy turkey patty on the bun and add fresh lettuce, sliced tomatoes, and onions.
  • Feel free to include pickles and customize as desired.
