  • 4 pieces chicken breasts Fresh and good quality
  • 1 cup heavy cream Adjust to taste for creaminess
  • 1/2 cup Irish whiskey Choose a whiskey you enjoy drinking
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For searing the chicken
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Enhances flavor
  • 1 small onion, diced Adds sweetness
  • to taste salt and pepper For seasoning

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Season chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper.
  • Add seasoned chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add diced onions and sauté until translucent.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in the Irish whiskey and scrape up browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  • Let the whiskey simmer for a few minutes to allow the alcohol to evaporate.
  • Gradually stir in the heavy cream and mix until smooth.
  • Return the seared chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over, and simmer for another 5-10 minutes or until the sauce thickens.

Notes
