Hot Chocolate on a Stick
This delightful creation combines rich molten chocolate with a homemade mix for a fun, interactive hot chocolate experience, perfect for gifting or cozy nights at home.
Ingredients
Chocolate Base
- 1 cup chocolate chips (milk or dark) Choose based on preference
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar Adjust based on sweetness preference
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For Serving
- 1 cup milk For serving
- as needed mini marshmallows For topping
- as needed sticks or lollipop sticks To hold your chocolate
- as needed sprinkles or other toppings Optional, for added flair
Instructions
Preparation
- Melt the Chocolate: Choose a heatproof bowl and place it over a pot of simmering water to create a double boiler, or use a microwave-safe bowl. Add chocolate chips and gently melt them, stirring occasionally until smooth.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: Once melted, remove from heat and stir in cocoa powder and sugar until well blended with no clumps.
- Add Flavor: Stir in the vanilla extract until well combined.
Molding
- Pour the melted mixture into silicone molds, filling halfway to allow space for toppings.
- Insert sticks into the center of each mold. Add mini marshmallows on top if desired.
- Allow the mixture to cool at room temperature before transferring to the refrigerator to set completely for 1-2 hours.
Serving
- Heat a cup of milk in a saucepan until steaming, then dip a chocolate stick into the hot milk, stirring gently to melt.
- Add additional toppings as desired.

Notes
Store your Hot Chocolate on a Stick in an airtight container; they last up to two weeks in the refrigerator or two months in the freezer. Wrap individually if freezing to prevent freezer burn. Experiment with flavors and toppings for creative variations.
