Ingredients
  

  • 1 block firm tofu (280g)
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce for marinade
  • 3 Tbsp corn flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp pepper
  • 3 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp honey
  • 2 Tbsp butter

Instructions
 

  • Press tofu to remove excess water, then cut into 2 cm thick cubes.
  • Marinate tofu in 1 tablespoon of soy sauce for 30 minutes.
  • Mix corn flour, salt, and pepper on a plate. Coat each tofu piece evenly.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry tofu for about 3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • In the same pan, sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Add soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, honey, and butter. Stir to combine.
  • Return tofu to the pan and coat in the sauce. Cook for 2-3 minutes until well coated.
  • Serve immediately with rice and garnish with spring onions if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-5 days. Reheat gently before serving.
