Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Optional Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon optional
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts optional
  • 1/2 cup oats optional

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well and set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and honey together using a hand mixer or whisk until smooth and light.
  • Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter-honey mixture. Mix until fully combined.
  • Gradually add the dry flour mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until the dough forms.
  • If you’re using cinnamon or optional ingredients like chopped nuts or oats, fold them into the dough now.

Baking

  • Scoop tablespoons of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, ensuring to leave space between each scoop.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  • Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a minute before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
