Preparation

  • Heat two tablespoons of olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add the spices: chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper, stirring for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Cooking

  • Add the tomato sauce and vegetable broth to the pan, stirring until well combined.
  • Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer and let it cook for about 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Stir in the apple cider vinegar for a touch of tanginess, then remove the saucepan from heat and let cool before using.

Notes
