Preparation

  • Begin by placing a saucepan over low heat. Add the semi-sweet chocolate chips and the sweetened condensed milk to the saucepan.
  • Stir gently until the chocolate chips have melted completely and the mixture is consistently smooth.
  • Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and espresso powder (if using).
  • Prepare a 9x9 inch baking dish by greasing it lightly to prevent sticking.
  • Pour the fudge mixture into the dish and smooth the top with a spatula.
  • Let the fudge cool at room temperature before transferring it to the refrigerator. Allow it to set for at least a couple of hours.
  • Once set, remove from the dish and cut into bite-sized squares.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container. Fudge can be refrigerated for 2-3 weeks or frozen for up to three months.
