  • 1 package Oreo cookies (approximately 15.35 oz) Any flavor can be used, but classic Oreos are preferred.
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Ensure the cream cheese is at room temperature for easier mixing.
  • 1 package chocolate coating or candy melts (around 12 oz) You may substitute with chocolate chips if needed.
  • to taste sprinkles (optional, for decoration) Great for adding a festive touch.

Preparation

  • Crush the Oreo Cookies: Place the Oreo cookies in a large resealable plastic bag and crush them until fine crumbs form, or use a food processor for a quicker option.
  • Mix with Cream Cheese: In a large mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreo crumbs with the softened cream cheese and mix until fully blended.
  • Shape into Balls: Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place each on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Freeze the Balls: Freeze the balls for about 30 minutes to help them hold their shape when coated.

Coating

  • Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate coating or candy melts in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  • Dip the Oreo Balls: Remove the balls from the freezer and dip each into the melted chocolate until fully coated. Tap off excess chocolate.
  • Add Sprinkles: While the chocolate is still wet, add sprinkles on top for decoration.
  • Allow to Set: Let the chocolate harden completely, or speed up the process by refrigerating for 10 minutes.

Notes
