Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a baking sheet with cooking spray.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Beat until smooth.
Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool completely on a wire rack.
Prepare the vanilla pudding by whisking the instant pudding mix with 2 cups of milk until smooth. Add orange food coloring if desired and refrigerate to set for 10-15 minutes.
Once the cake is cooled, cut it into circles using the trifle dish as a guide.
In the trifle dish, layer the chocolate cake, orange pudding, and Cool Whip. Repeat the layers until you reach the top.
Decorate the top with sprinkles, chocolate balls, gummy body parts, and any additional decorations.
Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to a day before serving.
