  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (optional)

Preparation

  • Turn on your stove and set a large skillet over medium heat. Pour in two tablespoons of olive oil and let it warm up until it shimmers slightly.
  • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Stir gently and sauté until translucent, about 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Increase heat to medium-high, add the ground beef, and break it apart as it cooks until there is no pink left, roughly 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and optional paprika, then stir to evenly distribute the spices.
  • Add the Brussels sprouts to the skillet and stir to combine with the ground beef mixture.
  • Cover with a lid and cook for about 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the Brussels sprouts are tender.
  • Serve hot on plates and enjoy your warm, hearty meal.
