  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 3/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 3/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup packed fresh basil or parsley leaves or a combination

Instructions

  • Prepare tofu by draining it and pressing to remove moisture. Slice into 1/2-inch thick pieces and press for at least 15 minutes.
  • In a bowl, mix garlic powder, kosher salt, paprika, ground coriander, and black pepper. Coat the tofu slices evenly with the spice mixture.
  • In a food processor, combine basil or parsley, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Blend while drizzling in olive oil to create a smooth sauce.
  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (around 400ºF). Lightly oil the grates.
  • Grill tofu slices for about 3 minutes on each side until golden brown with grill marks.
  • Transfer grilled tofu to a serving platter and drizzle with the fresh herb sauce. Sprinkle with extra herbs if desired.
