For the Skewers

  • 2 pounds chicken tenderloins Main protein for the dish
  • 6-8 pieces wooden meat skewers (or metal skewers) Soak wooden skewers for 30 min

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients on a clean countertop.
  • In a bowl, pour in the olive oil, followed by the soy sauce, lemon juice, and mustard.
  • Mix in the Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, and black pepper.
  • Whisk until smooth and combined.
  • Place chicken tenderloins in a lidded container or zip-top bag.
  • Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring all pieces are coated.
  • Seal container or bag and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  • Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes.

Grilling

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (around 350°F).
  • Thread the marinated chicken tenderloins onto the skewers without packing too tightly.
  • Grill the skewers for about 5-6 minutes per side, or until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  • Remove from the grill and let cool for a couple of minutes before serving.

Notes

For best flavor, allow marinating overnight. Use a meat thermometer for doneness. Add favorite herbs and spices, or try variations for different flavor profiles.
