Instructions
In a heavy saucepan, combine half and half, sugar, and salt. Whisk over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved, avoiding boiling.
Add the Matcha powder, whisking continuously until fully dissolved and incorporated. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.
Cover and refrigerate the mixture for 2-3 hours or until fully chilled.
Transfer the chilled mixture to your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions, typically about 30 minutes.
Once churned, transfer to an airtight container and freeze for at least 3 hours for a firmer texture.
Scoop and serve, optionally pairing with mochi or fresh fruit.
