Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Ensure it is softened but not melted.
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs

Add-ins

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips Feel free to experiment with different types of chocolate.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • In another bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  • Add the vanilla extract and eggs to the butter mixture and mix until well combined.
  • Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  • Using a large scoop or your hands, form giant balls of cookie dough and place them distanced on the prepared baking sheet.

Baking

  • Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until the edges are golden and the centers are soft.
  • Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
