Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Cake Batter
Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch pan. Mix the cake ingredients in a bowl until smooth, then fold in mini chocolate chips.
Step 2: Bake the Cake
Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 30-35 minutes. Let it cool for 10 minutes.
Step 3: Poke and Fill
Poke holes across the cake and pour sweetened condensed milk over it, letting it soak in completely.
Step 4: Make the Ganache
Melt German chocolate with warm heavy cream, whisking until smooth. Spread the ganache over the cooled cake.
Step 5: Prepare the Frosting
Cook evaporated milk, sugar, egg yolks, and butter until thickened, then mix in coconut and pecans. Cool and spread over the ganache.
