  • 1 cup fruit juice or flavored liquid Choose your favorite juice for the base.
  • 2 tablespoons gelatin powder Ensure it's unflavored for best results.
  • 1/4 cup sugar Adjust based on taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon citric acid Adds brightness to the flavor.

  • as needed food coloring Optional, for enhanced color.
  • as needed water For mixing with gelatin.

Preparation

  • Begin by choosing your favorite juice or flavored liquid as the base. Pour 1 cup into a small saucepan.
  • Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of gelatin powder over the liquid. Let it sit for a few minutes to bloom.
  • Heat the mixture over low heat, stirring gently until the gelatin completely dissolves. Make sure not to let it come to a boil.
  • Add in 1/4 cup of sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of citric acid. Stir until everything is well combined.
  • If you want to enhance the color, add a few drops of food coloring and mix.
  • Remove the mixture from the heat and let it cool slightly.
  • Once cooled, pour the mixture into molds or containers of your choice.
  • For a decorative touch, add pieces of fresh fruit on top before the mixture sets.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2-3 hours, or until fully set.
  • Carefully remove the gelatin from the molds and serve as desired.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator to maintain texture and flavor. Can be frozen but may alter texture slightly.
