  • 4 pieces lamb chops Choose high-quality lamb chops for best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For searing the lamb.
  • 2 tablespoons butter To create a rich basting sauce.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Enhances the flavor of the chops.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped For aromatic flavor.
  • 1 piece lemon Juice of 1 lemon to finish.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Season the lamb chops generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Let the lamb chops sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.

Cooking

  • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
  • Sear the seasoned lamb chops in the skillet for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden-brown.
  • During the last minute of cooking, add the butter, minced garlic, and chopped rosemary to the skillet.
  • Baste the lamb chops with the melted butter mixture.
  • Remove from heat and squeeze the juice of one lemon over the lamb chops.
  • Allow the lamb chops to rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, do not rush the searing. Use a meat thermometer to ensure internal temperature is around 145°F for medium rare. Serve with sides like roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes.
