Ingredients
  

Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons fish sauce
  • 0.25 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper

Noodles

  • 8 cloves garlic, minced Freshly minced for best flavor
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 6 ounces spaghetti Or your noodle of choice
  • 0.25 cup finely grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese Use fresh for best results
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onion To taste
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes For garnish

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients to ensure you have everything you need.
  • In a small bowl, stir together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, Worcestershire sauce, fish sauce, sesame oil, and cayenne pepper to create the sauce.

Cooking

  • Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and stir for about a minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  • Quickly pour in the sauce mixture and turn off the heat to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil and cook the spaghetti until tender, about 12 minutes.
  • Use tongs to transfer the spaghetti directly into the skillet with the sauce, bringing some starchy cooking water with it.
  • Toss the spaghetti gently in the sauce until well coated; add more pasta water if needed for desired texture.
  • Stir in the finely grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese until melted and creamy.
  • Plate the garlic noodles and garnish with chopped green onions and red pepper flakes.

Notes
