Ingredients
  

For the Rolls

  • 4 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour Ensure to measure accurately
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1 cup whole or 2% milk Warmed to 110°F
  • 1 large egg At room temperature
  • 1 beaten egg for brushing the tops

For the Garlic Butter Topping

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • Flaky sea salt For finishing touches

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Lightly butter the bottom and sides of a 9x13-inch baking pan.

Making Garlic Butter

  • In a small pot, melt 4 1/2 tablespoons of butter over low heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and let it cook for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Set aside to cool.

Mixing the Dough

  • In a stand mixer bowl, combine flour, chopped parsley, sugar, yeast, and sea salt.
  • Add warmed milk, room temperature egg, and cooled garlic butter mixture to dry ingredients.

Kneading the Dough

  • Using the dough hook attachment, knead on low speed until smooth, about 10-12 minutes.
  • Add flour if dough is too sticky, one tablespoon at a time.

Shaping the Rolls

  • Divide dough into 12 portions, about 67 grams each, and shape into smooth balls.
  • Place rolls seam-side down in the prepared pan.

Rising

  • Cover rolls and let rise in a warm spot until doubled in size, about 1-2 hours.

Baking

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • Brush tops of rolls with beaten egg wash.
  • Bake for 20-30 minutes or until golden brown.

Making Garlic Butter Topping

  • Melt 2 tablespoons of butter and mix with 1 tablespoon minced garlic.
  • Cook for 1-2 minutes and stir in remaining chopped parsley.

Finishing Touches

  • Brush baked rolls with garlic butter and sprinkle with flaky sea salt if desired.
