Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Use room temperature butter for best results.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs Use room temperature eggs.
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Mix-Ins

  • 0.75 cup rainbow sprinkles Vibrant sprinkles add color.
  • 0.5 cup white chocolate chips (optional) For added sweetness and texture.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together for about 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined and avoiding overmixing.
  • Fold in the rainbow sprinkles and white chocolate chips if using.

Baking

  • Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space for spreading.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden and centers appear slightly underbaked.
  • Remove from oven and let cool on baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
