Preparation

  • Crush the cornflakes: Pour cornflakes into a gallon-sized resealable bag, seal tightly, and crush into small bits.
  • Sauté cornflakes and cinnamon in butter: Melt butter over medium heat, add crushed cornflakes and cinnamon, stir for about 2 minutes until golden brown.
  • Let the mixture cool: Pour the cornflake mixture into a shallow dish and allow it to cool to room temperature.
  • Shape the ice cream: Scoop out vanilla ice cream and form into round balls.
  • Roll ice cream in cornflake mixture: Coat the ice cream balls evenly with the cooled cornflake mixture.
  • Let set: Place the coated ice cream balls on a tray and freeze for 10-15 minutes.

Serving

  • Plate the dessert: Place fried ice cream balls on a dessert plate with optional sauce drizzles and garnishes.
  • Add toppings: Offer toppings on the side for guests to customize their dessert.
