  • 4 pieces chicken breasts Boneless and skinless for best results
  • 1 cup French onion dip
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese For topping and flavor
  • 1 cup French fried onions For topping
  • 2 tbsp olive oil For searing the chicken
  • 1 cup chicken broth To keep the casserole moist while baking
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Sear the chicken for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Transfer seared chicken to a baking dish.
  • Fill each chicken breast with a generous scoop of French onion dip.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the stuffed chicken.
  • Top with French fried onions.
  • Pour chicken broth around the chicken.
  • Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes.
  • Let the casserole rest for a few minutes before serving.
