  • ½ cup maple syrup or honey Adjust based on desired sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract Adds flavor to the brownies.
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda Helps the brownies rise.
  • ¼ teaspoon salt Enhances flavor.
  • ½ cup dark chocolate chips (optional) Use dairy-free if desired.
  • to taste nuts or seeds for topping (optional) Customize according to preference.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed sweet potatoes, almond butter, cocoa powder, maple syrup or honey, vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are smooth and fully integrated.
  • If desired, fold in the dark chocolate chips and mix until evenly distributed.
  • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  • Optional: Sprinkle nuts or seeds on top for added texture and flavor.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean with a few moist crumbs.
  • Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
