Easy Slow Cooker Salisbury Steaks

Ingredients
  

For the Patties

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • Salt and pepper to taste Salt and pepper

For the Sauce

  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup beef broth

Instructions
 

Prepare the Patties

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, chopped onion, egg, onion soup mix, salt, and pepper. Mix gently but thoroughly to avoid overmixing, then form into medium-sized patties.

Brown the Patties

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat. Brown the patties on both sides for about 4-5 minutes each. Transfer browned patties to the slow cooker.

Make the Sauce

  • In the same skillet, combine the cream of mushroom soup and beef broth. Stir well, scraping up any bits from the skillet to enhance flavor. Pour this mixture over the patties in the slow cooker.

Slow Cook

  • Cover slow cooker and set to cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours.
