  • 1 pound raw green (uncooked) peanuts Make sure they are raw and green for the best results.
  • 1/2 cup Cajun seasoning Adjust to taste if sensitive to spice.
  • 1/4 cup salt Use kosher salt for a better flavor.
  • water Enough water to cover the peanuts Ensure peanuts are fully submerged.

Preparation

  • Rinse the peanuts under cold water to remove dirt or impurities.
  • In your slow cooker, combine the rinsed peanuts, Cajun seasoning, and salt.
  • Pour enough water into the slow cooker to cover the peanuts completely.

Cooking

  • Cover the slow cooker and set it to low. Cook for 8 to 12 hours.
  • Check for doneness around the 8-hour mark; they should be tender and have absorbed the flavors.

Serving

  • Drain the peanuts and serve warm or cold.
