Ingredients
  

  • 5 whole eggs
  • ½ cup sugar
  • cup sour cream
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 whole lemon or lime zest (optional)
  • 3 sliced plums

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • Grease a 9-inch cake pan and line it with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until pale yellow and thick.
  • Add the sour cream and mix until combined.
  • Sift in the flour and baking powder, mixing just until combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and arrange the sliced plums on top.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
