Dry Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt Balances the sweetness.

Mix-ins

  • 3 cups cornflakes

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then, stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until everything is well blended.
  • Gently fold in the cornflakes and, if you’re using them, the chocolate chips or nuts.

Baking

  • Drop spoonfuls of the cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each scoop.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on a wire rack.
