  • 2 cups chocolate chips Use semi-sweet or dark chocolate.
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk Adds richness and creaminess.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Enhances chocolate flavor.
  • 1/2 cup walnuts or pecans (optional) Chopped for added crunch.

  • to taste none sprinkles or crushed candy canes Optional for a festive touch.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  • Place a saucepan over low heat and combine the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Stir continuously until melted and smooth.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. If using, fold in the nuts.

Assembly

  • Pour the chocolate mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  • Top with sprinkles or crushed candy canes while still warm.
  • Allow to cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least two hours.

Serving

  • Lift the fudge out using the parchment paper, slice into squares, and serve.
