  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Infuses the chicken with aroma.
  • 1 teaspoon paprika Provides smokiness and color.

Preparation

  • Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts into the crockpot, ensuring they are evenly spaced.
  • Chop the onion and sprinkle it over the chicken. Mince the garlic cloves and add them as well.
  • Pour in the BBQ sauce, ensuring the chicken is well coated. Then, add the chicken broth.
  • Sprinkle the paprika over the mixture.
  • Gently stir to combine the ingredients and make sure the chicken is covered.

Cooking

  • Cover the crockpot and set it to cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  • Check for tenderness; the chicken should easily shred with a fork.

Serving

  • Once done, shred the chicken in the crockpot using two forks and stir it back into the sauce.
  • Serve the BBQ shredded chicken on sandwiches, tacos, over rice, or in any way you prefer.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container. Refrigerate for 3-4 days or freeze for 2-3 months. Thaw frozen chicken overnight in the fridge before reheating.
