Ingredients
  

Chicken Marinade

  • 4 thighs chicken thighs, bone-in, skin-on Bone-in, skin-on thighs for best texture.
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Use low-sodium soy sauce for a healthier option.
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil Adds a nutty flavor.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Minced garlic enhances flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated Use fresh ginger for better taste.
  • 1 tablespoon green onions, chopped For garnish.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Season to preference.

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Whisk until well blended.
  • Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper.
  • Add the chicken to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes; for deeper flavor, marinate for up to one hour in the refrigerator.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Arrange the marinated chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket, skin side up.
  • Cook the chicken for 20-25 minutes, flipping once halfway through, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  • After cooking, let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
