Ingredients
  

Cookie Base

  • 1 cup butter, softened Ensure butter is at room temperature.
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs Use room temperature eggs.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Decorations

  • 1 cup chocolate chips or candy-coated chocolates For decorating.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, sugar, and brown sugar. Cream until fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, mix all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually stir the dry mixture into the creamed mixture without overmixing.
  • Roll the dough into small balls and shape them into egg forms.
  • Place on ungreased cookie sheets spaced adequately, and flatten each egg slightly.

Baking

  • Bake cookies in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes until lightly golden at the edges.
  • Decorate warm cookies with chocolate chips or candy-coated chocolates.
  • Allow cookies to cool on a wire rack before serving.
