Ingredients
  

Meat and Vegetables

  • 1 lb ground beef or lamb
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 medium carrots, diced
  • 2 stalks celery, diced
  • 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables

Liquids and Seasoning

  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • to taste salt and pepper

Topping

  • 4 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional) Add for richness

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Brown the ground beef or lamb in a skillet over medium heat and drain excess fat.
  • Add the diced onions, carrots, and celery to the skillet and cook until softened, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Transfer meat and vegetable mixture to the crockpot and spread evenly.
  • Stir in frozen mixed vegetables, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

Cooking

  • Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours.
  • Once cooked, top with creamy mashed potatoes, covering completely. If desired, sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  • Cover again and let cheese melt for about 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding dried thyme, rosemary, or bay leaves. You can also mix sour cream or cream cheese into the mashed potatoes for an ultra-creamy texture.
