  • 1 cup Arborio rice This type of rice creates a creamy texture.
  • 4 cups milk Can use whole, almond or coconut milk.
  • 1/2 cup sugar Can substitute with honey or maple syrup.
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt Enhances sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup raisins Optional.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients.
  • Pour Arborio rice into the crockpot.
  • Add milk into the crockpot.
  • Mix in sugar and salt.
  • Add vanilla extract and ground cinnamon, and stir until combined.

Cooking

  • Cover the crockpot and set to low. Cook for 4 to 6 hours.
  • Check after 4 hours; the pudding should be thick and creamy.
  • If using, add raisins and stir gently.

Serving

  • Give a final stir before serving, adding more milk if too thick.
  • Dish into individual bowls and garnish with cinnamon or honey if desired.
  • Serve warm, cold or with toppings like whipped cream or fresh fruit.
