  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Place the chicken breasts in your crockpot, ensuring they lay flat and have space for the sauce.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the ranch seasoning and chicken broth. Pour this mixture over the chicken breasts, ensuring they are well-coated.

Cooking

  • Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours.
  • About 30 minutes before serving, add the cream cheese to the crockpot and stir gently until melted.
  • Just before serving, stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted. Taste and add salt and pepper as desired. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired.

Notes

For added flavor, marinate the chicken in ranch dressing overnight prior to cooking. You can also add diced vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms for extra flavor.
