  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar Adjust sweetness as desired.
  • 1/4 cup Butter, melted Can use unsalted butter.
  • 1/4 cup Honey Substitute with maple syrup for a different flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon Enhances the sweetness.
  • to taste Salt and Pepper Adjust to personal preference.

Preparation

  • Peel and slice the carrots into even pieces.
  • In a bowl, combine brown sugar, melted butter, honey, cinnamon, salt, and pepper until smooth.

Cooking

  • Place carrots in the crockpot in a single layer.
  • Pour the glaze mixture over the carrots and stir gently until well-coated.
  • Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours, or until tender.

Serving

  • Give the carrots a final stir and serve warm, optionally garnished with herbs.

Notes
