Ingredients
  

For the Mashed Potatoes

  • 3 lbs potatoes, peeled and cubed Starchy potatoes like Russets or Yukon Golds are best.
  • ½ cup unsalted butter Add more for extra creaminess.
  • ½ cup heavy cream Adjust based on your desired creaminess.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Increase for more garlic flavor.
  • Salt and pepper, to taste Taste as you go.
  • Fresh chives, for garnish Adds color and flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Peel and cut the potatoes into 1-2 inch cubes for even cooking.
  • Place the cubed potatoes into the crockpot and cover them with water.

Cooking

  • Set your crockpot to high and cook for 3 to 4 hours or until fork-tender.
  • Drain the excess water from the potatoes and return them to the crockpot.

Mashing

  • Add unsalted butter, heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, and pepper to the potatoes.
  • Mash until smooth and creamy.

Serving

  • Keep the potatoes warm in the crockpot until ready to serve, stirring occasionally.
  • Garnish with freshly chopped chives before serving.

Notes
