Instructions
In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, seasoning with salt and black pepper.
Add the chopped onion and garlic powder, cooking until the onion softens, about 4-5 minutes.
Remove excess fat from the skillet and transfer the meat mixture to the Crockpot.
In the Crockpot, combine the beef mixture with breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, beef broth, and French onion soup mix. Stir well.
Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
About 15 minutes before serving, sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top and cover until melted.
Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
