  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts Fresh, high-quality chicken for best flavor.
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup Adds a rich and creamy base.
  • 1 cup chicken broth For extra flavor.
  • 1 cup chopped carrots Enhances flavor and nutrition.
  • 1 cup chopped celery Adds crunch and flavor.
  • 1 piece onion, chopped For base flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Adjust to taste.
  • to taste salt and pepper Season to personal preference.

Dumplings

  • 1 can (10 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough Cut into quarters before adding.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts at the bottom of your crockpot in a single layer.
  • Pour the cream of chicken soup over the chicken.
  • Add the chicken broth, chopped carrots, celery, and onion.
  • Sprinkle garlic powder, salt, and pepper according to taste.

Cooking

  • Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  • About 30 minutes before serving, cut the biscuit dough into quarters and add them to the crockpot, spaced for even cooking.
  • Stir gently to combine without breaking the chicken apart and cover again. Cook until the dumplings are puffed and thoroughly cooked.

Serving

  • Ladle generous portions into deep bowls and enjoy warm. This dish pairs wonderfully with crusty bread or a green salad.
