Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef Can be substituted with ground turkey or plant-based meat.
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 24 ounces jar marinara sauce Using high-quality marinara sauce is recommended.
  • 14 ounces can diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper Season to your liking.
  • 8 ounces spaghetti Break spaghetti in half before adding.
  • 2 cups water Essential for cooking the spaghetti.

Preparation

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and add ground beef, chopped onion, and minced garlic. Cook until the meat is browned and the onions are translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  • Transfer the meat mixture to the Crock Pot.
  • Pour in marinara sauce and diced tomatoes. Add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste, and mix well.
  • Pour in the 2 cups of water and stir gently to combine all ingredients.
  • Break spaghetti in half and submerge pieces into the sauce, ensuring they are well-covered.

Cooking

  • Cover the Crock Pot and set it on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.

Serving

  • Serve the spaghetti hot, optionally garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh herbs like basil or parsley.
