  • Cover the crock pot with its lid and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  • Check for doneness; the chicken should be tender enough to shred easily with a fork.

Shredding and Mixing

  • Remove the chicken from the crock pot and shred using two forks.
  • Return the shredded chicken to the crock pot and stir in the sour cream, mixing thoroughly.
  • Allow the mixture to sit on the warm setting for an additional 30 minutes to enhance flavor.

Serving

  • Assemble the sandwiches by placing the shredded ranch chicken on a hamburger bun.
  • Add your choice of toppings such as lettuce, tomatoes, and onions.
