  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts at the bottom of the slow cooker in a single layer.
  • Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix generously over the chicken breasts.
  • Pour the chicken broth over the seasoned chicken.
  • Place the cream cheese on top of the ranch seasoning.

Cooking

  • Cover the crock pot with its lid and set it to cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, or on high for 3 to 4 hours.

Finishing Touches

  • Once the cooking time is complete, shred the chicken right in the crock pot using forks.
  • Stir the shredded chicken to combine it fully with the creamy ranch sauce.
  • Add the shredded cheddar cheese and stir until it melts completely.
  • Taste the mixture and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
  • Garnish with chopped chives or parsley before serving, if desired.

Notes
