Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Rinse the pinto beans under cold water to remove dust or impurities. Soak them in water for a few hours or overnight if possible.
  • Drain the beans and place them in your crock pot.
  • Add 4 cups of chicken broth, chopped onion, and minced garlic.
  • Sprinkle in cumin and chili powder, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Gently stir to combine all ingredients.
  • Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 6-8 hours until beans are tender and creamy.
  • Serve warm with desired toppings.
