Crock Pot Peach Cobbler

Ingredients
  

For the Peach Filling

  • 4 cups sliced peaches (fresh or canned)
  • 1/2 cup sugar to be mixed with peaches
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon to be mixed with peaches

For the Cobbler Batter

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar remaining sugar for batter
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted for greasing the crock pot

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Mix sliced peaches with 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon in a bowl. Set aside to allow flavors to meld.

Batter Preparation

  • In another bowl, combine flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
  • Add milk and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and stir gently until smooth.

Combine and Cook

  • Pour melted butter into the bottom of the crock pot.
  • Layer the peach mixture on top of the melted butter.
  • Pour the prepared batter evenly over the peaches.
  • Cover with the lid and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours, until the top is golden brown.

Notes

Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream for a delightful treat. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the refrigerator or freeze for up to 3 months.
